Once in Yemen, there was an Asian girl who got up excited. She was an eager learner. While the rest of the girls were not willing to learn cooking, she tried.

“Chey! I wondered what was that special recipe her dad taught her. Just scrambled eggs with diced tomatoes! Who doesn’t know how to cook that?!” scoffed another roommate proudly.

The girl looked upset when she came with the huge tray of plain rice with her ‘special dish’. She tried her best to be in the kitchen without supervision at all. I think that was the bravest thing she did.

When I cooked dinner, she accompanied me. She was in low spirit. Nobody in a low spirit will ever be able to remember what was being taught. When your heart dreaded the trainer, teacher, buddy, or mentor, you will not learn. 💮

A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself. — Oprah Winfrey

I told her how much I love scrambled eggs during childhood. That lifted her spirit. We made another round of scrambled eggs, but this time we added slices of sausages and sprinkled with thin slices of chilies.

That was her proudest achievement for the day. Did you notice the progress in the ingredients? If you don’t, you got to look harder next time to compliment someone and pick them up.

Now, how does this apply to being a Writer, Author, Blogger, Content Writer, and whatsoever positions like Editor or Journalist role? There is a first time for everything. That first time is always + our stepping stone.

If you want to read how my writing skills came by, this link is a quarter of it written. People do not read an article longer than 3 to 5 minutes, right? 😄

The Legacy We Leave Behind One Day | by Norlisa Alias | Writers’ Blokke | Oct, 2021 | Medium

We all have different strategies. What fits me may not fit you. Vice versa. Being a new writer in Medium, I cannot imagine if people had 1.XK of followers needs to grow envious with new writers. Come On!

#strongertogether — Robert Ralph, and every other encouraging influencers and writers’ quote.

I started here not too long ago. I have no particular niche. There is much advice out there suggesting that we write on a particular niche.

I do not stick to one niche, as a new writer since I do not know yet which of the areas helped my readers most. Then I saw patterns of my readers.

The world is full of pain and hurt, people are all recovering from painful moments, so am I. My articles gave some people good energy.

In one way, these articles were the form of ‘mantra’ or ‘proclamation’ to myself. How it had benefited me in writing, it had also reached out to several people making their day better.

There is another step you and I cannot miss this out. Finding mentors. Generous people who reached out to others giving advice and they are those who reap generously too.

So, here I attached 3-articles of people who had been on this journey ahead of us, and they are like a pot of diamonds or gems to learn from.

I am encouraged by Alberto and Dr. Mehmet a lot.

Read articles by Alberto García 🚀🚀🚀. I love the way he wrote his articles, straight to the point or truth said. 🍎

Read articles by Dr Mehmet Yildiz. His articles are very in-depth information and it drawn interest to me because of health matters. I am pretty much interested in this 100 day Writing Challenge. My 30 days challenge ended up with much reflections, I will jot down as a review. 🍎

Read articles by Tim Denning, and here is one of them I believe we all need mentors. 🍏

The Untold Story of the Unknown Blogger Who Went Viral and Gained 150,000 Email Subscribers in 30 Days | by Tim Denning | Sep, 2021 | Entrepreneur’s Handbook (entrepreneurshandbook.co)

They clearly taught me a lot from their writings and I am having a lot to digest. I kept reading them several times. Do enjoy reading through them and pick out learning points from them. 💮

When you want it, you will not hesitate to do it. Find your mentors, even if it is from just reading their articles. Stay with the right people. When we are small beginners, we may run into people who tend to quickly measure our milestones. Ignore them.

Remember where to channel our energy to. Despite 100 minimal followers reached, I have not signed up for the partner program. Step by step, people. 💌 Stay safe!
