When I worked in the prison, I had to keep everything in the locker too. Not even earrings or necklaces. No jewelleries. We had the central command number to give our families in case of emergency. But I never given the number to my family. I totally believed no news was good news.
When I began in the French restaurant, I kept my phone since I used only prepaid card. It was like taking a gamble to receive no calls from family about death matters. But one day, my former GM called me from her meeting. She couldn't get through me. I was at the kitchen. Another day, I almost fell at the back of restaurant, at the storage containers. I thought in any emergencies, I couldn't call for help when everyone else was inside the restaurant. That was when I carried my phone around.
Yeah. I set a time reminder to the loo. Because I needed to report back to work after break time. I made sure to went to the loo, then bought a fruit juice and Crossoint. At closing I knew I'll be a little hungry. 😊
