What about if both grandparents passed away already?

Our family stopped attending reunion dinners a few years after my grandfather passed away. With his passing, there was no longer a need for pretence of a reunion.

What about if both grandparents passed away already? Whose house would the celebrants go to for reunion? The eldest uncle on the father's side?
