Same. I tried WordPress a lot I could not understand the formatting and designs.

…eople followed me and read my post. I did not know how the system operates but I found it friendly. I opened a WordPress account and failed as I did not know how to get people over to my site. It started with a few followers but my interest waned and I closed it and went back to Medium.

Same. I tried WordPress a lot I could not understand the formatting and designs. At the same time, I am not well versed in the marketing aspect. To get organic followers sure took a long time indeed.
