Me too. I grew up being promised by my mom many things but all are lies! So now she wanted me to go Mecca for pilgrimage just to clear her chest off like her responsibilities are over, but I am never interested to do the pilgrimage. And she sweet coated it with "..it is better to study in mecca than elsewhere.." to make me think and feel she is giving me moral support for my studies. But in reality hidden beneath it, she wanted her checklist to be fulfilled. that is all. I dislike it when my mom did that.
