It’s true that I have the same question as your friend. A master degree is measured as something high in accolade and education usually the master grads take up Head of Department or AD position. But it all depends on your priority. Higher rank bears many responsibilities and though it is stylish to be at a command level, the pressure is definitely more. Sometimes the time taken for work also goes beyond your office seat. At least a bank teller job is done for the day. I don’t think a bank teller have outstanding emails to clear all the time unlike the managerial level. It sucks being at the bottom but it all depends on your priority.
