I agree. Hard work doesn't lead to success. A Muslim saint told me it isn't our hard work that gives us success. It's just that God pity us, and gives as He loves. And a Catholic Father said to me, it's not because we deserve it. It's just God's love that we receive undeserving merits in life.

I can imagine the angels rolling their eyes saying, "... The human beings don't know how pathetic they are that The Heavenly Father pitied them, thus granted them what they wanted. Yet they think it's their hard work which gave them success."

That is kind of... embarrassing.
