Some people mentioned that old is gold.
My late paternal grandpa was an expert in playing the chess game. He lived in the time of war. I used to listen to a lot of history from him during elementary school. Chess game consisted of strategies and hidden stories about life. I forgot about what he said.
And of all the advice, what Wilfredo wrote coincided with my late grandpa’s ultimate belief. He said to help one another through prayers regardless of whatever differences.
I recommend you drop by at Wilfredo’s article I had embedded here. After reading what the 82-year-old man said, I felt cold water pour over my heart. I smiled. When people send blessings to you, receive them. Or at least return with a smile. Live in harmony with thy neighbors.
I still remember an 80-years-old writer in Medium, who once mentioned to me (as paraphrased): “You are lucky to be able to feel the Monday blues. I don’t know how it feels like anymore at my age 80…”
It was a squeeze of lime and lemonade with honey and sugar. A day I felt what gratitude means. Embrace your feelings, but find gratitude in almost anything or everything possible. 💌
🌹Thank you, Wilfredo Resto, for this lovely piece. It felt like cooling water poured over my heart where needed to be healed. 🌹
