10 Different Types Of Colleagues In Restaurant With Colorful Characters
What makes a place enjoyable to work is the team. The French restaurant always have a slogan “dream team”.
This dream differs from one person to the other.
For example, my dream for a dream team is a nightmare to another. That’s why every person is unique. Good and bad.
I’m sharing with you the different kinds of persons you can see in the French restaurant if you work there.
1 — The One Who Is Confused And Always Feels Wronged…
You will meet a personality who make a lot of noise for having nobody to help. When help comes, the person will argue, debate, or turn away.
It’s like a lonely person who the bosses send a colleague, but the person gestures him to go away. And then continue grumbling “Nobody helps me…”
I’m sure the managers are as confused thereafter. And you will also wonder if the person is having personality disorder or going through hormonal changes like menopause.
2 — The one who like to tease and test your patience with you at the wrong time…
You will meet a person who walk by your workstation and keep smiling cheekily or sheepishly asking… “Can or not? Can or not?”. A person like this love to see whoever works at my workstation gets frustrated.
It seems like some kind of joy to him. And this personality walks away only to come back again acting like consoling you, “okay la, I help you…” as if it is a joke of the day. You are busy like bumble bee focusing when this person becomes your distraction.
You will end up telling the person “… F#*k off from here!”
3 — The one who puts the wine glasses at the edge of the sink…
You will meet a personality who sends in the dirty wine glasses and places it at the edge. There are no other glasses. The space is empty. But this personality will put it right at the edge.
You will pray for it to drop on the floor immediately and watch the episode of silence chaos. When it happens, you will jump for joy in your heart. You want to thank the person right there and then. Because you will have lesser glasses to polish indeed.
4 — The Marvel casts or Captain America.
You will meet some people with the personality of one who does work like a cast from the movie Marvel. This person seems to fly from one place to another completing 3/4 or almost all of the work. And you stand there wondering what else you can do. Almost everything is done.
5 — The one who waits for you to greet good morning and taught you to greet everyone.
You will meet a charming personality who is an early bird. This person will stand in the middle of the passe making coffee without a smile. Sometimes, the person knows you’re approaching but he turns away.
Some days you give up and ignore only to see the person detour to the coffee machine and says good morning to you. Confusing? Yes. But you will love the person like your own family. I do love him as he is.
6 — The one who puts the glasses all over the place and still break the glasses.
You will meet the personality who puts down dirty glasses all over the place. And the next person spends longer time to put down other glasses in between glasses, only to knock away some glasses, crashing into pieces.
You will smile like me, having lesser glasses to polish. And you will hear the person blurt a vulgar word. You will laugh especially if he or she is your boss.
7 — The personality who throws anything or everything away.
You will meet one or two personality who loves to throw away anything or everything that is lying around. *I'm one of them*
Laptop must be aligned parallel to the mouse. Coffee powder must be dust off from its equipment thoroughly. Anything lying around in the private room without a message gets thrown away.
You will be getting heart attack at the sight of what this personality grabs and dumps into a transparent plastic bag. Keep things properly. Otherwise, either it will be thrown away for good, or hidden elsewhere you can’t figure it out. You know? Confiscated.
8 — The one whose mind always had a lot to think…
You will meet another whose mind had a lot to think. Forever having all sort of meeting. And his favorite word is “Let me think first…”
He will listen first to any issues and only then he will correct you. That made others think he scolds and people feel that he is pushing them too hard.
Once he flushed red in anger because he likes me to smile, whereas I frowned at him. The next day, I hugged him like a teddy bear the first thing I saw him. Because I knew I was wrong, and he laughed a relieved.
9 — The grandmother and aunty personality…
You will meet the motherly character who you call Aunty, knowing she is just a decade older than you as a sister. * Coughs aside -is that me? *
You will also meet someone younger in the late twenties yet nags like a grandmother.
You will meet personality who is already married with grown up children yet feels offended being called aunty — taking it like a disrespect.
It is very confusing… “La Famile de Confusion” theme.
10 — The walking zombies who threw staff’s bowls and plates into the dustbin after eating.
You will encounter people who threw the staff bowl or plates into the dustbin after eating lunch. It isn’t intentional.
Someone else will pick it out from the dustbin and the rest start laughing. It makes everyone wonder what is going on. Because the ones who threw it away will not even recall throwing it away.
When the mind gets tired, you will see people doing weird things unaware. You will not need alcohol to get drunk or out of your mind. Lacking rest is sufficient to see walking zombies.
There are many more colorful personalities I get to meet in the restaurant. That makes everyone unique and confusing.
I’ve grown more confused over time.
Perhaps that is what La Familia consist of. We all grow confused. Lost.
